As the Instructional Coach at Glennwood, I wear many hats. In addition to supporting students, I facilitate professional development and act as a thought partner for our teachers and staff. I also provide support and resources through co-teaching, co-planning, and modeling lessons. I've been privileged to support the school-level equity initiatives in our district, which are crucial to our students' future and their development as global, ethical citizens.
This is my 22nd year in education and my 19th year in Decatur. Prior to becoming an instructional coach, I was a classroom teacher, early intervention teacher, and MTSS coordinator at several K-2 schools in the district. I graduated with an Elementary Education degree from the University of Georgia and received my Master's degree in Multicultural Education from the University of Washington.
While not a true Atlanta native, I have lived here most of my life. I love podcasts, organizing stuff, and national parks. I also love spaghetti, cats, and dogs, but not together. I have a 13-year-old daughter who currently attends Beacon Hill Middle School and a decades-old husband who attends Atlanta United games far too frequently.
