Hi, Oakhurst Families!

I am grateful to be starting another school year as the media specialist at Oakhurst. One of my great passions in life is helping children discover the magic of reading. My other passions include my husband, five kids (ages 11, 13, 14, 15, and 17) who were all Oakhurst Owls, and our goofy dog, Booker. We love spending time together on soccer fields, basketball courts, tracks, beaches, and anywhere you can hike. 

My favorite picture book (I change my mind frequently) is The Story of Ferdinand by Munro Leaf, my favorite chapter book is The Wild Robot by Peter Brown, and my favorite graphic novel is The Aquanaut by Dan Santat.

I am looking forward to an incredible year full of reading adventures!
