Hello! I’m Bill Howard, and I’m proud to serve as the Principal of Glennwood Elementary School. I bring over 18 years of experience in education—as a teacher, school administrator, and district leader—and I’m passionate about the foundational role early learning plays in a child’s development.

Originally from Illinois, I recently relocated to Georgia and feel incredibly fortunate to have joined the Glennwood community. My leadership journey began as a high school Dean of Students, and over time I found my true calling in elementary education. I’ve served as both Assistant Principal and Principal for several years, where I focused on building strong, inclusive school cultures, supporting academic growth, and implementing positive behavior systems like PBIS.

Most recently, I worked as a District Fine Arts Coordinator supporting 20 schools, where I helped lead instructional initiatives and build partnerships that enriched student learning through the arts. Outside of education, I’m also passionate about community service—I spent several years serving on the Board of Directors for my local animal shelter, including time as Board President.

When I’m not at school, I love spending time outdoors—whether that’s working in the yard, getting out on the water with my paddleboard, or finding some quiet time on the yoga mat.

I’m thrilled to be a part of the Glennwood Crew and look forward to getting to know our students, staff, and families as we work together to make learning take flight!
