Hi! I am so excited to be starting my 16th year as an Oakhurst Owl! I am a Georgia native, born and raised in metro Atlanta. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Georgia State University and even did my student teaching at Oakhurst! I spent some time teaching English in The Netherlands in 2009 and then came back to Oakhurst to teach kindergarten, after a short stint as a paraprofessional. Before teaching second grade, I taught kindergarten for 12 years. While teaching kindergarten, I earned my Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Piedmont College. This will be my fourth year in second grade and I am so excited! 

I have 2 adorable cats at home. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with family and friends exploring hidden dining gems. I also enjoy sewing, traveling, all things houseplants and volunteering/fostering with Lifeline Animal Project.
