Why Elementary School Counseling?
Elementary children are building foundations for success both as students and adults. This is when academic self-concept and confidence in our own abilities begin to take shape. Children are developing their decision-making and communication skills as well as their values and independence. School counselors are trained as professional educators with a mental health perspective and uniquely equipped to respond to today's diverse student bodies. By working with parents and school faculty/staff, we design proactive and responsive services to meet the unique needs of schools and students. We're part of a team that helps children reach their potential and removes any obstacles to success. What Do School Counselors Help With?
