My name is Alex Buckley and I am so pleased to be teaching third grade at Fifth Avenue Elementary. I am originally from Saint Louis, Missouri, and I moved to Atlanta in 2016 with my husband James and our goldendoodle Charlie. On the weekends, we enjoy bowling, getting outdoors, and cheering on Atlanta United.

I graduated from the University of Missouri with a bachelor’s in Elementary Education. I taught 2nd grade for 3 years. This is my tenth year teaching, and my seventh year in 3rd for City Schools of Decatur. I believe that children should learn through both work and play. I hope that your child arrives every day knowing that they are a part of a loving and supportive community.  I am so excited for a year full of learning, adventure, and fun!
