The DHS Valedictorian and Salutatorian shall be awarded to the two students with the highest DHS Weighted GPA at the end of the first semester of senior year.
The progress report grade of current full-credit DHS classes will be used and calculated as full-year courses for the purpose of determining the GPA.
First semester submitted dual enrollment courses will be included in the calculation.
NOTE: Notification is usually in May.
Honor Graduates
Honor Graduates and any recognitions at graduation will be given to all DHS students with a weighted GPA of 3.7 or higher.
Ranking
As a reminder, DHS does not rank, so students can report "none" or "does not rank” on any college applications.
