I am so excited to be starting my 11th year as an Oakhurst Owl and my 19th year of teaching. I grew up in the Atlanta metro area and I have lived in Decatur for the last 22 years. I attended Guilford College in Greensboro NC, where I received an undergraduate degree in Psychology and then went to Georgia State for my master’s degree in Special Education.

I am married and have three children, twins going into 8th grade at Beacon Hill and a daughter starting 10th grade. In my free time I love being outside, especially in the mountains, hiking, gardening, reading, and playing tennis.
